Hello everyone! My name is Matt "Matty" Lyle, and baseball has been a part of my life since I was just 3 years old. From those early days in recreational baseball, I fell in love with the game and its unique challenges.
At the age of 7, I took the leap into travel baseball, joining a 9U team where I initially roamed the outfield, soaking in every moment of the game. As I grew and matured as a player, my versatility allowed me to explore different positions on the field. From Shortstop to Centerfield, and even Second Base, I've embraced the opportunity to contribute wherever my team needs me most.
Currently, I'm proudly representing both the Florida Baseball Heaven travel baseball program, under the guidance of Coach Mark Persails, and Spartanburg Day School, where Coach Travis "Gookie" Dawkins helps me refine my skills and leadership on the field.
In addition to baseball, my sophomore year saw me branching out into other sports as well. I joined the JV Basketball Team and the Track & Field Team, relishing the chance to challenge myself in new athletic endeavors.
I'm grateful for the journey baseball has taken me on so far, and I'm excited to see where it will lead me next. On and off the field, I strive to embody dedication, teamwork, and a relentless pursuit of improvement. Thank you for joining me on this incredible journey!
Baseball has been more than just a sport for me; it's been a journey that's taken me to various cities and allowed me to participate in a myriad of events. From thrilling travel baseball tournaments spanning Florida, Kentucky, Ohio, North Carolina, and Georgia, to finding my home turf in South Carolina, the baseball diamond has been my playground.
Representing both the State of Florida and South Carolina in numerous All-Star Tournaments has been a highlight of my baseball career. Additionally, competing as a semifinalist in multiple Pitch Hit & Run Contests has provided me with invaluable experiences and unforgettable memories.
Baseball isn't just a game; it's a way of life that has shaped me in profound ways, fostering friendships, teaching valuable lessons, and opening doors to new opportunities.
I'm currently exploring college options for evaluation. If you'd like to reach out, please feel free to contact me here.
